Hi, Darlene here. I'm the Owner/Operator at Happy Horse & Dog. I am a professional dog trainer, certified by Ivan Balabanov, “Training Without Conflict”. I train protection dogs, obedience, and Search and Rescue looking for lost individuals. I have the only certified Search and Rescue dog in Kane County (Kanab, Utah) as of August 2021. My husband Steve is my 2nd in command and is a dog lover and very kind to animals and people. I also occasionally hire an assistant who is qualified to work with all dogs.
I am also a professional horse trainer and have used Natural Horsemanship for many years. I also have my own little herd of horses on the property and ride whenever I get the opportunity.
Please text vaccination records to (435) 899-9335 or email to hhdpetresort@gmail.com.
Dogs: Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella are all required, Lepto and Canine Influenza are highly recommended. We highly recommend the Bordetella vaccination within the last 3 months prior to your stay. It is an easy vaccine to administer to your dog by your vet and is effective within 24 hours.
Horses: Proof of a recent Coggins test and a Health Certificate.
